As the darkness beckons
A new born child left on the stairs
Like so many others before

Abandoned by the faithful flock

The boy’s cries filled the air
Greeting the years of hatred and despair

Servants of Heaven – abandoned
Blind fanatic madmen – abandoned

The two-faced monks
Took the children in
Raising them to worship Him
Hypocrisy in the hearts
The orphan’s souls are torn apart

Among these walls of depravity
Earthly delights, false sanctity

No saving grace – abandoned

On that stormy night, his fate was sealed
As the true face of God was revealed
